Bridge @ The 65th Annual Convention of the Midwest Modern Language Association
Join Bridge and the Midwest Modern Language Association for this year’s MLA Conference! Bridge will be participating as a Book Exhibitor at this year’s event.
The Midwest Modern Language Association (MMLA) Convention is an annual gathering focused on advancing scholarship, research, and teaching in language, literature, and cultural studies. Each year, the convention centers around a specific theme to encourage dialogue and exploration across humanities disciplines. The event brings together scholars, educators, and students to present papers, participate in panels, and engage in workshops and professionalizing sessions.
The 65th Annual Convention of the Midwest Modern Language Association (MMLA) is scheduled to take place from November 14 to 16, 2024, at the Hilton Chicago. This year's convention centers on the theme "Health in/of the Humanities," exploring the intersections between health and the humanities disciplines. The event will feature a keynote address by Dr. Andrea Charise from the University of Toronto-Scarborough, titled "On Burning Ground: The Futures of Health in/of the Humanities," scheduled for Friday, November 15, from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. In addition to the keynote, the convention will offer a variety of professionalizing sessions, workshops, and panel discussions, providing a platform for scholars and educators to share research and engage in dialogues pertinent to literature, language, and culture. For more detailed information, including the full program and registration details, please visit the MMLA's official website.
