English artist Patrick W. Welch, “Painter of Hate,” (a self-reference meant as a satirical jab at Thomas Kinkade, “Painter of Light,”) was the first special project produced by Bridge, in 2002 and then again in 2003. A prolific painter, eviscerating social humorist, and founder of the Micromentalism art movement, Welch died from suicide in 2008 at the age of 43. Below is an archive of the artist’s 2003 “Childhood Terrors” trading card series, no longer available for purchase and presented below solely to preserve the artist’s work, otherwise lost to the public.
